meet the parents lol
ok so, my friend, morgan's, parents are here at liberty. And they want to take alot of her friends out to dinner. I am going to meet them. This could definitely be slightly awkward, b/c I have no idea how many other people are going to go. It might just be me morgan and them, but there might be more people there.....I really have no idea who all is going. I texted her to see who all is going, but she has not written me back yet. I am not gonna lie, I am a little worried b/c I get really quiet in front of parents and people that I have never met before, so I'm not exactly sure how this is gonna go..... /: ... I just hope that they are cool or something.
cold!
this morning, when I woke up it was 32 degrees outside... I loved it!!!! It has, since then gotten a little bit warmer, but it is still VERY VERY cold outside! I cannot wait until it starts to snow outside. I really want to go skiing. My friend Brett likes to go, and he is going to take me like every weekend....... maybe.... that would be amazing, but it would also be very expensive. I don't know how that one will end up, but I really really want to go. My cousin from Florida told me to tell her when it starts to snow to tell her and she will come up here and go skiing with me, even though she snowboards. The point of this blog is to say that it is getting COLD outside, and I could not be any happier!
compare and contrast essay.... >:(
I have worked at two places in my life, Hollister Co. and the extended care program at my high school. My supervisors were VERY different at these two places. My supervisor at Hollister was, first of all, not a Christian. She was very loud and lazy. :) She did not have the best work ethic. Most of the employees did not respect her, b/c she did not make herself out to be any sort of an authority above everyone. She would curse all of the time, and take short cuts around everything. My other supervisor, from my high school, was almost the exact opposite. She was quiet and kind. She was definitely a good friend, but made sure all of the employees knew she was in charge and a boss first. She made sure that everything was done correctly and on time. The right way is not always the easy way. My supervisor at my high school, was also a Christian. She would write notes of encouragement to the employees daily. she would make sure we knew what was coming up that week and what we needed to work on.
this weekend
ok so even though it is only Tuesday, I already cannot wait for the weekend!! :) last weekend was okay, but I did not love it. This weekend, however, I am going to be hanging out wwith some people that I have DEFINITELY been wanting to hang out with! Hopefully it all works out! lol but sometimes, one of my friends pushes people into doing stuffthat they might not want to do. So I don't know how this is all going to end up. I hope she will just calm down and let people have fun! I am also excited that there is also another game this weekend!!! I LOVE TO GO TO THE FOOTBALL GAMES!! and there is always fun stuff to do after. It is just kinda weird to me that the game is at 3:30 instead of 7:30..but whatever! lol

Birthdays!!
TODAY, October 25, is my BIRTHDAY!!!! I love birthdays! I have gotten a package from my mom with 3 undershirts and a new shirt that I had asked her for. That was exactly what I wanted for my birthday. I called her and told her that was what I needed. She also got me a pair of head phones because I had lost both of my pairs. She is so sweet and I love her very much! One of my friends named Jessica sent me four birthday cards b/c she loves sending birthday cards, and in one of them was some money...YES!!! exactly what I wantted ...lol... two of my friends, Morgan and Kolby, are taking me out to dinner tonight and we are hopefully going to Scaremare tonight... UNLESS IT IS STILL RAINING...>:( hahaha I really hope it doesn't though. And on Friday, I am hopefully going to be able to go to the abandoned house with alot of my friends....that would be an amazing weekend!! lol :)
rainy days...
I am from Florida, so it definitely rains ALOT! It is, however, not like when it rains up here in Virginia. In Florida, it gets hotter and more humid when it rains. In Lynchburg it gets way colder. This morning it was raining, so I put on a pair of shorts and flip flops and threw my hair up, kind of thinking that it was gonna be hot and sticky outside. IT WAS NOT! It was freezing outside and I had a tank top on with a very thin jacket. I thought I was gonna catch frost bite and freeze to death....lol.... I was definitely not gonna wear pants because I HATE HATE HATE having wet ankles.... it is almost the worst thing in the world. So I definitely HAD to wear shorts, but I just did not expect it to be so cold and windy outside. It is also my birthday, so even though I am having a great birthday, I was mad that I had to walk outside in the freezing cold, rainy weather.
paragraph evaluation 2
I corrected some of the grammar in my paper, and I tried to change some of the confusion and make things more specific. I learned that making specific points is very important and it takes some of the confusion in the paper away. It is for some reason extremely hard for me to think of ways to make my points more specific. Such as, I thought that all my examples in my paper were specific enough, but all my comments said that they were too general. What will make my examples more specific? It took me about 10- 15 minutes to revise b/c I didn't really know whatb I was looking for :/ lol. Savannah was a very good help. She made sure that I knew to make all my points more specific and not to get off topic. I did not end up making too many changes because I did not really know how to make my points and examples any more specific.

Thanksgiving Break..
November 19th is the day I get to go back home for Thanksgiving break. I cannot wait! I am going to get to go shopping with my mom for the few things that I need and I will FINALLY get to eat some vegetables!! I love veggies!! lol But, the worst thing about Thanksgiving Break is the fact that ....
My BIRTHDAY!!!!
tHURSDAY, October 25 is my 19th birthday.!! I can't wait.... even though I am not at my house with my family, I still think that it will be good. My mom said she sent me a package, but I don't know if I will get it on my birthday.....but I really hope that I do. One of my friends told me that she would get me anything that I wantes from Hollister!!! I am excited! :) I love Holllister. Another one of my friends said that her and one of the guys in my classes are gonna prolly take me out for a birthday dinner. I don;t know where to, but I am happy about that.... I really really really hope that I have a good birthday!!!
intensive...
Oh my gosh! I really want to take the intensive in order to get the class over, but I HATEHATE HATE HATE sitting in a room for 8 hours. I don't do well just sitting there listening. I have a VERY short attention span, and I would prolly go crazy sitting in a room judt doing english for EIGHT hours.... lol... another reason is that it starts SOOOOOO early in the morning....I would have to wake up at like then crack of dawn (haha) in order to get to class on time :) that would just be a terrible week. I'm not sure what to do at this point, but I am definitely interested in doing this.

After party!!! ;)
lol.... so after the SWITCHFOOT CONCERT!!! Me, my friend, and my CFAWer decided to find where SWITCHFOOT's tour bus was...... we found it, yet very soon reaized that they were inside signing autographs and would not be outside for a very long time. So we decided to leave and go to the HAUNTED HOUSE that we had been looking forward to all night. There ended up being a huge group of people there, which is never a good thing because people start crying and screaming and being babies. It also sucks because the building is not structurally safe. lol.... the building could definitely collapse if too many people were in there. hahahaha.... but it ended up being ok bacause about 5 of the girls got way too scared to go in anyways. So they left and the ones of us that were not babies(lol) went inside. That is the third time I have been to the haunted house, and the second time that I went that weekend!!! It was pretty much a great weekend!!
Switchfoot cont.
..... so my friend ran up to the door, but did not catch it. However,at that very moment a huge group of people just walked out the door. We were sooooo thankful that they had just opened the door! We just walked right in and went immediately down to the closest open row that we could find, and began enjoying the concert! Switchfoot is amazing! I am so glad that we decided to go in. I would have been bored the whole entire night if we did not go to the concert.

SWITCHFOOT CONCERT!!!!!
The switchfoot concert was AMAZING!!! ....At first, I was not going to go. You see, I did not have a ticket. Me and 2 of my friends were just driving around bored, and then we decided that instead of just driving around doing nothing, we should at least go stand outside and listen b/c switchfoot is amazing!! .....well on our way to the front of the vines center, a bouncer opened the door for someone to let them out. We wanted to just run inside, but there was a bouncer there, so we obviously could not! ..... A few seconds later, the bouncer followed the person out to a car and left. the door was slowly shutting, so..
My mom's influence!
My mother is a very influencial person in my life! My mom is a VERY godly woman who loves me very much :) she is a great model a the Proverbs 31 woman. Sometimes I ask her about why she is the way she is (b/c sometimes she might get on my nerves) and whatever she says she can back up with how the scripture says that she should be. She very much takes after my grandmother (who was pretty much perfect... lol) So my mother was raised knowing what the Bible says about what we should do and how we should act. She reads the Bible EVERYDAY, so she has wisdom beyond compare. Anytime I am in a dilemma or need to just vent, I go to her because I know she will give me the right council. She is always looking to help me out and is willing to do whatever it takes to make my relationship with Christ grow. She is not hypocrtitical in any way. She loves my dad and is always submissive, loving, and respectful to him. My mom's desire to follow God has impacted me very much throughout my life!

paragraph evaluation......
I have fixed the grammar in my paragraph, yet found many other mistakes. My details did not flow very well, so I tried to change those. My peer review review helped ALOT!!! She helped me to re-word alot of my sentences. and showed me where I was not flowing. Her feedback helped me to understand alot of my mistakes and see how my points were not making very much sense. I have definitely learned from my peer feedback and from my teacher's feedback. I need to change the body of my paragraph to get more specific details and make the sentence flow more.

Mazda Millenia
I have a 2001 Mazda Millenia. It is, unfortunately, a little bit of an old man car.....hahahahaha..but it is definitely still nice. I had a choice between it or a few other cars, but I picked the millenia because it has leather interior, it is fully loaded, it has a sunroof, and it had alot of space in it with a big trunk. The radio is after market, which I would rather it not be, but it is very nice. It came with a subwoofer in it, so that was a HUGE plus seeing as how I LOVE to drive around listening to LOUD music!! The car itself is VERY VERY nice..... It was pretty much just the body that I did not love. I am, however, rediculously ecstatic and very thankful that I do have a car. I really do not know what I would do without it, or without my parents who bought it for me....I love them...good thing I get to go see them for fall break TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!
+Agua+
Many people hav tried to cut cokes out of their diet. This is a very wise choice. My dad's nutrionist told him that this would be a very wise decision, and he did! I mean like completely stopped drinking (as in like 100% cold turkey). and he lost 10 pounds pretty quickly!! He has not had another coke in a little over 5 years. This is a very hard habit to break, but it gets easier once you find something else to replace it with. I myself have decided to replace it with WATER!!! water is my favorite drink EVER!! It is soooo good for me, and drinking so much water helps me to stay healthy and away from carbonated drinks. I have not completely cut out cokes, but I do not drink any more than maybe one a week... So I am not doing too bad..hopefully I will be able to keep it up and maybe I will EVENTUALLY be able to loose some weight from it.....hahahhahaha...here's hoping! lol
Nokomis!

I pretty much go to the beach every year with my two friends, Jessica and Shelby! I love it sooo much! the beach we go to is in Florida, near Venice. The beach is called NOKOMIS. We stay at "A Beach Retreat at Casey Key!" and I love it there, The retreat is right on the beach and I get soooooooo sunburned....well that part is not really too fun, but I can handle it I guess...lol...yeah I definitely have skin cancer... :) that would be so terrible...But my dad has gotten it like 6 times and I knpw it not hereditary or anything, lol, but I know I am prolly prone to getting it..hahahah......ugh! I am prolly gonna die of cancer...ANYWAYS, back to the beach!! Yes, those are some of my best and favorite memories, I really really hope that I get to go back this year!!
weather...
I LOVE LOVE LOVE cool weather! It makes me happy no matter what else is going on! I definitely love the snow, but I the cool weather might just be my favorite. Like when it is just cold enough that I need to wear a long sleeve shirt and a light jacket. I love to be outside when it is SHADY and WINDY!!!!! It can make any day better than it started and it pretty much bring the best out of everybody!! I am from Florida, and cool weather does not come around very often, so when it does we DEFINITELY make the most of it and enjoy it. This past weekend was like that. It was almost perfect weather! Me and 2 of my friends went out somewhere near the airport and laid down on a blanket and just felt the breeze and the cool weather, and we were for real lovin' life. I hate the fact that it keeps getting colder than hotter than colder and hotter again! I want the weather to just keep getting colder and colder until it SNOWS!!!

Flying.....hmmmmm...
I do not really like to fly. well, i guess i would have to say that I just don't mind it. I definitely do not love to fly, and it can DEFINITELY be very annoying to me. It just takes soooo long to get through all the checking at the beginning, and once you get on, you have to wait there "FOREVER" just to leave. And also, once you get off the airplane, you have to wait again for your bags. I know I am sounding very impatient, but maybe just when it comes to this, I am...I mean if I am going somewhere, I want to get there and get gone to see my family or whatever...lol..
failing a class!
failing a class pretty much sucks :) because you definitely have to re-take it! and you also have to pay to take it again, so you are not only wasting your time, but your money also!! and then you get behind everyone else in your class. And your parents get mad at you because you did not do your best. this is very bad!!....lol
eating healthy!!
It is a VERY good habit to eat healthy. I even have trouble with this habit. It is not at all like dieting. Learning to eat right is a long, daily process that takes serious work. there are many moments of weakness that usually force a person away from eating healthy. Eating healthy also does not mean cutting all carbs and sweets out completely for the rest of your life, it means that you SERIOUSLY cut back on those things and eat mainly the foods that are good for you and help build your body and immune system. this can cause a person to lose weight, get in shape, and stay healthy!!! it is usually fairly difficult to make this habit work, but once it becomes a part of your life, it gets easier and easier!
fall break!
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!! I am soooo excited that I get to go home for fall break! at first i was not gonna be able to go home at all....i mean i was completely not even thinking about it! like at all, and then one of my friends told me that if we fly out of anywhere other than Lynchburg, than it will be cheaper...and it WAS!!!! I am definitely surprising my mom....she is completely gonna flip out when she sees me...it's too bad that i had to spend ALL my money on this ticket.....ugh!...but whatever, it's so worth it!!
